Hi, I’m Tamara, owner of Fancy Fingers Stitchcraft.

I’m a proud Gen-Xer living in Australia on Wiradjuri Country. I love to embroider, quilt, machine sew and generally be creative. I started Fancy Fingers Stitchcraft to share fun, accessible projects that will up your own creative joy. There's nothing like losing yourself in a make to relieve some of the 'too much' of every day, and a quiet satisfaction in making something beautiful. 

I chose every kit because it gave me the ‘wow!’ factor, and because it was from a woman-owned business. These kits are a bit boutique too – you won’t see them everywhere online and certainly not at the big box stores. They all use high-quality threads and canvas, along with instructions and extras like thread cards or organisers to help keep things in order. 

It's important to me that I make things that will be used or displayed - not just sit in a drawer or become 'stuff'. So, in 'Supplies' I’ve included fusibles to help you attach your makes to clothes or other fabric, and tote bags and zipper pouches if you want to be really prepared for finishing the project once the stitching is done!

I love curating resources to inform and inspire my making and I've shared these in the 'Resources' section and a link to Pinterest. I've also included a playlist of my personal favourite creative and sewing-related podcasts, because Stitch Project + podcast = happiness as far as I’m concerned! Well, maybe with a strong cuppa and a bikkie too, but you’ll have to BYO there!
