I haven't crafted in years (or ever!) Are these kits suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Every kit we carry is handpicked for that "ooh, I want to try that" feeling, with a strong focus on being beginner-friendly. They come with clear, no-fuss instructions and everything you need to finish the project.
What exactly comes inside a Fancy Fingers kit?
Most of our boutique kits are fully bundled, one-stop-shop experiences. Depending on the type of craft, your kit will include high-quality cotton, linen or Aida fabric, needles, premium threads (like DMC), an embroidery hoop, a stitch and color guide, and detailed instructions . You can dive right in the moment your delivery arrives! Sometimes a kit doesn't include a hoop. We note this in the product listing so you can buy one if you need - you will find this in Stitching Supplies.
What is the difference between Embroidery, Cross-Stitch, and Needlepoint?
Embroidery uses free-form, creative stitching to build lovely lines and textures on a wide range of fabrics.
Cross-Stitch features tiny, structured, X-shaped stitches on gridded fabric—perfect if you love a satisfying, rhythmic chart to follow.
Needlepoint is done on a sturdy canvas using thicker yarn, offering a slow, deeply tactile, and soothing experience.
Shipping & Delivery
How much does shipping cost?
We use automated shipping rates calculated at checkout based on your order size and location. We are based in Bathurst, NSW and we ship with Australia Post. (Psst... if you join our newsletter list, you'll receive a free shipping code for your first order! AND if you live locally in NSW we will always deliver free!)
Do you ship internationally?
As we are in a start up phase we are not routinely shipping internationally, BUT if you see something you MUST have please email orders@fancyfingersstitchcraft.com.au and we will see what we can sort out for you.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We pack and ship your creative goodies with care. Orders are typically processed and packed within 1–3 business days . Once with the carrier, standard shipping within Australia generally takes 2–5 business days for standard mail, while express shipping takes 1–3 business days depending on your location .
What is your packaging made of?
Wherever possible we use eco-friendly, recyclable packaging materials so you can feel good about your creative choices from the moment your parcel lands on your doorstep.
Returns & Alterations
What is your return policy?
We want you to feel completely confident in your creative choices. In line with Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are fully entitled to a replacement or refund for any items that arrive faulty, damaged, or not as described. If you experience an issue, please follow the 'Returns' procedure through the link in the footer, or on your order confirmation and we will be happy to help. You can read our full returns policy through the 'Returns' link in the footer of the homepage.
Can I return a kit if I change my mind?
Because our products are craft kits containing consumables, we can only accept change-of-mind returns if the item is entirely unused, unopened, in its original packaging, and in perfectly saleable condition. Change-of-mind returns must be made within 14 days of delivery, and return postage is at the customer's expense . Once a kit has been opened or partially used, we are unable to accept a return.
What if I buy a kit as a gift and the person doesn't like it or want it? What if that's outside the 14 day returns period?
